Inscribed 'Interruption' at top of sheet. Probably a study for Surprised, though the catalogue for the Cambridge 1985 exhibition describes it as 'A study for an etching which was not executed'.
PROVENANCE: Estate of John David Roberts, accepted by HM Government in lieu of inheritance tax and allocated to Tate 2007 (T12700)
