The Gypsies

The Gypsies, 1942 (aka The Gypsy Camp dated as c.1943 in Roberts, Paintings and Drawings. Cf. Gypsy Encampment c.1944 and The Gypsies c.1950)

There were gypsy encampments at Marston, near Oxford, where William Roberts was living at the time.
